We are one team, working together to achieve a common vision.We have the most amazing Consumer Loan Underwriting team at EICU and due to an internal promotion, we need another amazing person to complete us.As a Consumer Loan Underwriter you would underwrite consumer direct and indirect loan applications by evaluating credit worthiness, loan and collateral information, and loan officer notes and decision loans within guidelines. As you convey loan decisions and alternatives to loan officers and dealer contacts, you will demonstrate your expertise as a product and procedure expert and provide exceptional member service with prompt, thorough, and dependable interactions at all times. Also included in the duties of this position is funding direct loans, general office duties, and the willingness and ability to be a dependable team player. Thorough knowledge of the lending process, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation requirements is essential to success in this position. Further, clear and friendly communication is a must. You will contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment and make recommendations regarding process improvements. Being a music trivia guru and decent free throw shooter along with a willingness to work in a comfortable yet productive environment, is a definite plus!This is a full-time position; Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays and holidays.Located in Idaho Falls, IDQualifications:

+ Associates degree or high school diploma/GED with two years related training and/or experience

+ Strong analytical and financial skills, and solid decision making abilities

+ Comprehensive knowledge of credit unions/financial institutions and lending practices a plus

+ Familiarity with fair lending practices and understanding of Fair Credit Reporting, lending industry guidelines

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including loan interviewing and public relations, familiarity with PCs and standard software

+ Ability to read and understand written communications such as legal information and procedure manuals

+ Effectively solve problems, present solutions, and resolve conflicts

+ Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers to consistently uphold our credit union's quality and service standards

+ Professional appearance and attitude
